I got back a day earlier than planned with 1511 photos on a 32MB card. I had my camera on BURST (5 fps) and shot all 1511 pix on one battery! Scarlet tanagers and Rose-breasted grosbeaks eating in mulberry trees were the stars. Photographers were literally stumbling over themselves as I imagined some weird mating ritual with tripods gnashing like antlers!
The bird blind was slow with thick morning fog clearing around 10:ish. I did meet nature photographer, Ty Smede, from Iowa Outdoors Magazine and enjoyed some great conversation during The Great Lull.
