The 13th Kemp’s Ridley Sea Turtle hatching release for 2014 was conducted at 06:45 AM on Sunday, July 27, at Padre Island National Seashore on North Padre Island.
The release on July included 88 Kemp's ridley hatchlings released from two nests - 84 from clutch 87 that was found on June 9th here in the park 48 miles south of the visitor center, and 4 from clutch 76 that was found on June 8th on North Padre Island (north of the national park) at marker 224.
