This is the results of my first official visit to the nest this season after 5 months of running in circles and over 3500 photos last season (Oct 2010-Mar 2011).
I arrived at the nest at 0820 to a snappy 33 degrees, light breeze and plenty of light. I carried the Nikon D700 with 200-400mm, and opted for ISO 200, AUTO ISO "ON", Manual controls, shutter speed 1/2000 and aperture f8.0, routinely a great combo of settings for this spot and I allow the to ISO "roam" as I focus solely on the eagle activity.
Activity was fast and furious by both adults. No food delivery, but plenty of nest refurbishing. There is an excellent series of branch snagging while on the go (See Slides 12-33)!! Not a false move today by either adult!!
I only had one 4GB card, filled it quickly, evacuated the scene and was safely home by 1130.

What a beautiful art of some of God's finest. I appreciate the time and talent you've put into your photography, slides and slideshow. I've been to see the Bald Eagles at this location, many times, but have never enjoyed them as much as watching what your photography has captured. Thank you, Jim Baines - God bless you!
