Loop Trail - and more ...

Loop Trail is 4.3 miles one-way with 220 ft. elevation gain.
Difficulty: Easy to moderate - mostly gently to flat terrain. It is the longest trail in the park.
Description: This trail can start from either the SE or SW parking lot circles. The trail loops around much of the park and provides access to the primitive campsite areas (Moss Lake, Walnut Springs, and Buzzard's Roost). Great views of Enchanted Rock, Little Rock, Freshman Mountain, Buzzard's Roost and Turkey Peak. The Loop Trail traverses generally flat terrain with a few short rises and small creek bed crossings. The Loop Trail is one of the most popular trails at Enchanted Rock Natural Area because even old decrepit fools like me can negotiate it.
