This Robin's nest was established in late April and almost destroyed by winds while being built. Finally established and four eggs laid, there was a bad storm on 11 May 11 with 4.02 inches of heavy rain accompanied by winds gusting to 60 mph. The next morning the entire nest was leaning and totally soaked, no robins in sight. I tie-wrapped it in place and the mother returned, sat on the nest for about an hour, then began eating the eggs and finally abandoned the nest in the late afternoon. Both adults are still in the neighborhood.
